Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising
The quickest way to get top position on the largest search engines
is to buy your ranking via "pay per click“ ads. Also
known as "Sponsored Results or Sites".
These ads allow you to state how much you are willing to pay for
every visitor who clicks on your ads, and the results are ranked
accordingly. If your competitor is willing to pay 10p per visitor
and you are willing to pay 11p, you will be first and he will be
second etc.
This is something RingJohn.com can fully manage from concept to
execution.
The major PPC advertisers today are Overture, Espotting and Google
Adwords.
As you can see below, MSN, Yahoo and Google all offer these so-called
“sponsored links”.
Advertisers bid against each other on an auction basis to achieve
higher rankings than their competitors.
You are only charged once someone clicks your ad & visits your
website. Prices for ads we currently manage for clients range from
5p to £12 per click.
Unlike most companies who offer a PPC management service, we work
closely with clients to constantly improve conversion rates as distinct
from just driving traffic to the site.
Conversion Improvement is the core difference between RingJohn.com
Ltd and our competitors in the area of PPC Ad management.

MSN - Powered by Overture
The sponsored results on MSN (UK & US) are powered by
Overture (UK) and will continue to be until 2005.
Overture ads typically take 3-5 days to be approved by their
editors.
(Note that secondary results on MSN were provided by Looksmart
until Oct 2003 but this arrangement has now ceased)
The minimum bid for every ad on Yahoo-owned Overture is 10p. |

Google - Powered by Google Adwords
Google's internal pay per click advertising service (known
as "Adwords") allows advertisers' PPC ads
to appear in either the two coloured spaces as shown or more
commonly, in a vertical list on the right hand side of the
results pages.
Our overall experience across sectors is that Adwords is
the most economical PPC system available but this can change
between sectors.
Minimum bid is 5p.

Yahoo - Powered by Espotting
Yahoo is currently displaying PPC ads supplied by Espotting.
Due to Yahoo's Oct 2003 purchase of Espotting rival Overture,
it is unlikely that Espotting will continue to provide these
ads in the medium term.
Espotting's minimum bid is 10p. |
