FAQs
Why do you not offer a guarantee on Rankings?
Does RingJohn.com achieve high rankings for clients?
Yes. Verifiable examples of highly competitive commercial keyphrases
are always available on request.
How long does it take to be top of Google, Yahoo & co with
traditional search engine optimisation?
From 1 week to 2 months depending on a variety of factors such
as age of website, amount of content, number of links to it from
other websites etc.
Do you guarantee rankings
No company can genuinely offer such guarantee. (Only Google etc
can)
However, as we normally charge based on results achieved, we have
an impressive client retention rate.
Which is better - high rankings or high visitor traffic?
It depends on your requirements. If your website is focused on
increasing your return on your investment (ROI), high visitor numbers
would be better.
Alternatively, if brand visibility and awareness is an issue in
addition to high visitor numbers, then rankings are important. It
really depends on the preference of individual clients. Our recommendation
is usually to achieve a good mix of both.
What will a search engine optimisation (SEO) campaign achieve for
us?
The search engine placement campaigns that we conduct for clients
normally have a number of objectives, the most common of which is
to generate additional sales at minimal cost.
Do you resubmit clients’ website to search engines regularly?
No. This is undesirable in most instances as search engines regard
regular resubmissions as trying to deceive them and may place severe
penalties on those websites as a result.
Do you manually submit to search engines or do you use automated
software?
All our work is manual.
Your competition is much cheaper. Why would we choose you?
Hear what we offer and then compare us. We offer high quality for
a reasonable price.
What is “Pay Per Click”
Pay per click (PPC) is a form of advertising which accomplishes
results similar to search engine optimisation. The main companies
offering this are Google, Overture and Espotting.
With PPC programs, clients bid on search words to determine their
ranking. Rankings depend on how much clients spend for each key
phrase they bid on. The more willing clients are to spend on a bid,
the higher the rank that can be achieved in the search engines and
directories.
A clients’ account is debited when a potential customer actually
clicks on the client’s listing - hence the name "pay
per click".
How long until we start to see results?
Typically 3-4 weeks although in some cases it can be 3-4 months.
We send ranking reports monthly to clients to show the success of
our efforts.
How long will our website stay at the top of the search engine
rankings?
We don't know because we have no control over this. However we
endeavour to ensure clients’ websites stay at the top of the
search engines for the duration of our contract.
Because search engine algorithms change regularly and is the reason
for our monthly management charges (for corporate clients), we can
not guarantee that clients will retain the rankings we have achieved
for them. Our monthly fees however is your insurance that we wil
do everything in our power to maintain your good results.
Do certain website technologies prevent high rankings?
Yes. Some search engines have difficulties ranking websites which
use certain technologies such as frames, dynamic pages, flash, and
javascript. We can provide solutions to these problems.
Our website developers tell us that they can optimise our website.
Why would we use you?
When you search for your core product or service on Google, where
is your website listed?
Is it in the top 10? If its not, then your website developer(s)
do not know SEO even though they think they do.
Ask your developer(s) if “Meta Tag keywords” are important.
If they answer “No”, they are in a very small and correct
minority. If they answer “Yes”, contact us.
Search engine ranking specialists such as ourselves spend 4-5 hours
each and every week just to stay abreast of current search engine
developments. (Research and systems development time investment
is additional)
This is an extremely specialist niche subject which extremely few
web developers have any practical experience of.
Do you alter clients’ websites?
Usually. We will need to make tiny but critical changes on client’s
websites. Once we demonstrate the changes we wish to make, clients
rarely object to our suggestions as they fail to even spot the critical
changes we have made. (Alternatives are available)
